The background came from my Omunenus piece. The idea on Noir Radiation came from the idea of why Lazharman is stationed on protecting the earth other then the overused idea of “EARTH has GREAT potential”. So blaming the evil monsters on nature seemed unique to me. Plus I didn’t want to make A VILLIAN responsible for all the monster attacks.

GRID is like the military/police force/ ESWAT/ air force/ marine/ whatever you can whip up that deals will national security. A group Rachel’s mother (Jeannine White) was the leader of when she was Rachel’s age. Which Rachel has been appointed to.

What Ethen is talking is something like how in Power Rangers, Ultraman and Kamen Rider, there's always a new generation replacing the one before. I also wanted there to be only one Lazharman per a generation. So the idea why Ethan must pass his power to another within a short period of time was the only idea I could think of to keep the Lazharman stories down to one. If he keeps using the power he’ll become a Lazharman permanently. So he’ll need to pass it on to continue the Lazhar legacy.

Keith “NovaLazhar” is a fav among my friends. The original version was made of blue
energy and had a black cape. Within his body he had a living galaxy; stars planets,
comets and moons etc. For his updated version I removed the cape and kept the galaxy
idea that resides within his body.
